A SCARCE .22 SIDE-LEVER REPEATING AIR-RIFLE, MODEL 'BORA REPEATER', serial no. 35763,
circa 1984, with blued 11in. barrel, raised ramp fore-sight with side protectors, magazine tube mounted to top of barrel, swinging loading tap at breech, blued air-chamber with machined grooves for a telescopic sight, rear-mounted adjustable back-sight, blued cocking lever and plastic pellet cut-off mounted to the right hand side, right hand beech half-stock with chequered grip, adjustable trigger, the whole in fine condition and appearing little used with manufacturers warning decals intact (some slight storage marks)

Other Notes: The company Air-Arms was born after the Sussex Armoury went into receivership in the late 1970's. Taking over the original machinery that produced the 'Jackal' range of air-rifle, considerable improvements were made, especially to quality of finish. The 'Bora' air rifle was basically a re-worked 'Jackal Woodsman', but this particular example is fitted with the repeater mechanism first used on the 'Jackal Repeater'. Sales of all the repeating versions were slow, as the design proved to be pellet sensitive. Air-Arms re-designed the whole range in the early 1990's after discovering that the new market was strongest with deluxe air rifles, and were one of the first British mainstream companies to move into the field of pre-charged pneumatics
